initial evaluation, our hair repair coordinators will discuss
your hair restoration goals and evaluate your candidacy for
successful
surgical hair restoration.
Hair restoration surgery permanently restores areas of your
head that are thinning or balding with your own natural growing
hair through a process called Follicular Unit Transplantation.
The physician removes a small strip of hair follicles from the
back of the patient’s head. These hair follicles are genetically
coded to always grow. A team of technicians, using a microscope,
cut the hair grafts into groups of one to four hairs. These
grafts are then individually placed into the areas of thinning
or balding. By using this technique of transplanting single hair
grafts and micro hair grafts (two to four hairs) the
concentration of the surgery is placed on achieving the most
realistic and natural look. Anesthesia is performed by local
injections using tiny needles. During this outpatient procedure,
patients remain awake for a typical surgery lasting from four to
eight hours.
Many patients return to work or their daily routine one to
two days after the surgery. The healing process ranges between
five to seven days with the patient participating in minimal
activity. Most patients see active hair growth starting three
